Polyurethane Foam: Effective Solutions for Sealing and Adhesion

Polyurethane foam is renowned for its effectiveness in repairing cracks. When exposed to air moisture, it expands, sealing the area. Its expanding nature makes it an excellent water-tight barrier. After application, the foam increases in volume where applied. This versatile material is used extensively in door and window repairs and installations. It boasts superior bonding strength, ensuring it doesn't peel or lift from the surface.

Where is Polyurethane Foam Used?

Polyurethane foam, such as Apel Professional Foam, is primarily utilized in:

  • Door and window mounting
  • Exterior applications for sealing and filling
  • Acting as an adhesive

Due to its moisture-curing properties, it reduces humidity buildup in the environment. When used effectively, it provides a permanent solution.

Types of Polyurethane Foam

Several types of polyurethane foam are available from Beta Kimya:

  • Apel Professional Foam: Applied with a gun, this foam expands to cover wider areas. It's an efficient filling material.
  • Apel Polyurethane Foam: This versatile foam can be used for both filling and adhesive purposes.
  • Apel Mega Foam: Featuring a unique formula, this one-component foam is highly effective as both a filler and adhesive ( capable of sealing 9 doors with just 60 liters). It adheres strongly and is resistant to water and moisture.
  • Apel Insulation Foam: Designed for exterior use, it's constantly exposed to water and humidity. It bonds easily and permanently. Cures quickly due to its moisture reaction.
  • Apel Safety Valved Foam: Another one-component foam, used as both a filler and adhesive. Its special valve system allows for repeated use.
  • Apel Door & Window Foam: A single-component foam suitable for indoor use. Due to its low coefficient of expansion, it doesn't crack or expand in humid environments. It adheres perfectly after initial application and can be painted over afterward.
  • Apel Winter Foam: Designed for cold weather conditions, this foam draws moisture from the air, preventing condensation.
  • Apel B2 Fire-Resistant Foam: This foam prevents burning and is a one-component structure.
