We Ran for Our Children with Cerebral Palsy

Our company's voluntarily established Socialik team, an open formation for all white and blue-collar employees, recently met with officials from the Turkish Spastic Children's Foundation (TSÇV) as part of our social responsibility projects. The meeting took place at the Metin Sabancı Special Education and Rehabilitation Center in Ataşehir, Istanbul, where we learned about TSÇV's work and the Cerebral Palsy disease.
Team members launched a fundraising campaign by participating in the 40th Istanbul Marathon on behalf of TSÇV, initiating awareness and education efforts. Through various social media platforms leading up to the marathon, our members explained why and for whom they were running, raising individual donations directly for the rehabilitation of Cerebral Palsy patients in need of care without any intermediary organizations.
Cerebral Palsy is the most common physical disability encountered in childhood. It occurs due to damage to an undeveloped brain, either before, during, or after birth. Cerebral Palsy is not progressive. Significant improvements can be achieved with early intervention and lifelong rehabilitation for a brain affected by trauma.
